SMstudy Faculty for Virtual Classes

The success of any training greatly depends on the proficiency of the instructor. We owe our high success rate and consistently great student feedback to the quality of our instructors. All our instructors are experienced faculty of VMEdu and co-authors of the Digital Marketing Body of Knowledge (DMBOK™). Their practical examples and real life personal experiences make it easier for students to understand and appreciate even the most complex concepts.

Before teaching any Digital Marketing class, each instructor goes through a rigorous SMstudy "Train-the-Trainer" program about adult learning techniques required to make their classes interesting, enjoyable and enriching. An SMstudy faculty has more than 400 hours of teaching experience.

Shawna has over 20 years of experience in marketing and communication. She has a proven track record in product development, communication, brand building, and teaching. Shawna is a co-author of four books in the SMstudy® Guide series— Marketing Strategy, Digital Marketing, Corporate Sales, and Marketing Research. Her specialties include Corporate Communications, Digital Marketing, E-mail Marketing, and advertising. She resides in Toronto, Canada and is interested in teaching, storytelling, and inspiring positive behavioural change.


Trent Fogg

SCDM–A, SCDM–P, SCDM–S

Trent had over 15 years of experience in Oil and Gas, IT, and Education industry. He has worked in leadership positions in product development, project management, marketing, and sales. He is a practical problem-solver with excellent communication skills and HR abilities. Trent is a co-author of four books in the SMstudy® Guide series— Marketing Strategy, Digital Marketing, Corporate Sales, and Marketing Research. His areas of expertise includes brand management, advertising, and digital marketing. He resides in Calgary, Canada and is interested in teaching, communications, and publishing.


Jaimie Rush

Jaimie is a certified project leader (PMP) with over 20 years of experience in organizing, prioritizing, planning and executing a diverse range of high-visibility, high-risk, multi-million dollar initiatives from definition through implementation across various business verticals. She is a highly proactive, detail oriented, and energetic leader with strong multi-project management skills. She has a proven track record in areas such as Business Development, Strategic Planning, Project Leadership, Vendor Relations, Process/Operational Analysis and Improvements, New Product Development, and Project Management. Jaimie is a co-author of four books in the SMstudy® Guide series— Marketing Strategy, Digital Marketing, Corporate Sales, and Marketing Research. She has more than 10 years of teaching experience having delivered classes in Sales and Marketing, SCRUM and other project management methodologies. She resides in Los Angeles and is interested in teaching, mentoring and community development.


Joanne Morrison

Joanne is a marketing professional with over 20 years of experience in various Sales and Marketing roles. She has held leadership positions across various functions such as Business Development, Corporate Communications, Marketing Strategy, and Digital Marketing. She is a highly motivated leader who is pro-active, energetic and detail oriented. Her areas of specialization include communications, media relations, marketing design, and content marketing. Joanne is a co-author of four books in the SMstudy® Guide series— Marketing Strategy, Digital Marketing, Corporate Sales, and Marketing Research. She resides in Toronto and is interested in public speaking, mentoring and training.
